Product & Packaging Labels

Most packaging labels that fail do so because the stock does not suit the container, not because of the printing. Before we quote, we ask what the label is going on and where the product will be kept.

Label stocks

• Mirrorkote – gloss paper label for dry products kept indoors, such as boxes, bags and gift packs. Not suitable where it will get wet.
• PP (polypropylene) – waterproof and UV resistant. The usual choice for jars, tubs and bottles, including chilled products.
• Vinyl – waterproof, UV and chemical resistant, and flexible enough for squeeze bottles and curved containers.
• White block-out – waterproof, UV and chemical resistant, with an opaque backing that covers whatever is underneath. Useful when relabelling over existing print.
• Transparent – for a no-label look on glass and clear plastic.
• Gold / silver – metallic stock for premium and gift packaging.

Lamination

No lamination, gloss lamination or matt lamination. Lamination protects the print from scuffing during handling and delivery. Gloss makes colours stand out; matt gives a softer finish.

Shapes and sizing

Circle, oval, square, rectangle with rounded corners, or die-cut to the outline of your logo. Measure the flat area of the container rather than copying an old label size. For a curved bottle, give us the diameter and the straight height available so the artwork stays on the part that lies flat.

Jars, bottles and tubs for food and beverage, sauces and condiments, cosmetics and skincare, product boxes and gift packs, and ingredient or instruction labels.

Artwork

Vector artwork (AI or PDF) prints sharpest; a high-resolution image works for most jobs. If the artwork is not ready, send what you have and we will recommend the next step.
